ABOUT

Skil Jaadee White is a Haida artist who was raised in Old Massett on Haida Gwaii. She comes from the Yahgu Janaas raven clan and has been living her culture and creating artwork since she was a little girl. Surrounded by her elders growing up, she learned her traditional language X̱aad kil and how to sing and dance. She learned from her father, Christian White, for most of her life, taking it more seriously as she got older and received support from YVRAF, FPCC, and Gwaii Trust. 

Studio Skil Jaadee is a place to express creativity and show more authentic representation for Northwest coast artwork and clothing. While designing clothing, she also paints, makes regalia, and jewelry. 

She takes care of everything from start to finish on her own, while outsourcing the printed pieces to a company off-island, where they produce and ship the products from there. All designs are her own unless otherwise specified. 

Every item is made on demand to ensure no overconsumption or waste.
